Hi! I'm...

Akash Khetan.

Fullstack Developer.

With an emphasis on clean backend design, data modeling, and real-world usability, I build modular, API-first systems that scale.
In code and in thought.

Projects

Whisper
A minimal system for securely sharing private notes via link and password, without requiring user accounts.
  • Integrated AI summarization
  • Implemented expiring notes with automated cleanup via cron jobs
  • Designed a stateless access model enabling secure sharing without authentication
Diddit
A structured full-stack task management system with emphasis on state consistency and data modeling.
  • Designed relational data models for authentication and tasks using PostgreSQL
  • Leveraged Next.js server actions to handle mutations with minimal API overhead
  • Managed UI state for task interactions, ensuring consistency between client and backend
Portfolio
A developer-focused portfolio built with structured navigation, reusable components, and system-driven design.
  • Implemented IntersectionObserver-based active section tracking for dynamic navigation highlighting
  • Built reusable UI components using shadcn/ui with consistent design patterns
  • Engineered smooth, viewport-triggered animations to enhance content flow without impacting performance
  • Optimized for responsiveness and accessibility

About

I'm a full-stack developer with a love for problem solving and learning new things. I am looking for an opportunity in full-stack roles.

I'm drawn to problems where structure matters — where decisions around architecture, data flow, and abstraction directly shape how a product evolves. That reflects in how I build — not just by writing code, but by designing systems that make sense and feel genuine.

I question things and how they fit together. Chasing those questions, I started my journey with Physics, but life had other plans, so I taught myself full-stack development — no bootcamp, no silver spoon, just a lot of late nights and broken builds, and an obsession. I tend to approach things from first principles, and focus on structural clarity.

Currently I am a data annotator at Innodata where I help prepare precisely tuned data that goes to train some of the cutting edge AI models. Previously, I have worked as a freelance educator, typesetter and transcriptionist.

When I am not building or doing my job, you can find me reading or writing something, geeking out on something, eating or cooking, or just enjoying a peaceful moment.
